
James trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on a DADA Scholarship where he was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Student of the Year Award.
Theatre credits include: Poole in Jekyll and Hyde (2011 UK Tour), understudied and played Magaldi in Evita (UK and International Tour), Eugene in Crazy For You (London Palladium), Jean Valjean in Les Miserables 20th Anniversary (Queens Theatre), Harry in Lucky Stiff (Robinson Theatre, Cambridge), West Side Story (Albany Theatre), The Rink and Into the Woods (Both at Karamel Club, London).
Prior to training, James performed with National Youth Music Theatre and Youth Music Theatre: UK, in Goblin Market (Lyric Theatre, Belfast and George Square Theatre, Edinburgh), Missing Melanie (George Square Theatre, Edinburgh) and Over The Edge (Belfast Festival). James also spent five years performing around the world with Cantate Youth Choir, in venues including The Royal Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral and Number 10 Downing Street.
Television includes: Children in Need (BBC), Showtime Wales (BBC) and Dancing with the Stars (ANT1).
