Australian born Kara studied for a year in classical singing (Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music), a year in acting (MASQUE, Sydney) and a year largely focused in Dance (Brent Street Performing Arts Collage, Sydney).

UK credits include: Diana Divane 1st cover in Lend Me A Tenor – the musical (Gielgud Theatre, London); Magenta/Usherette in The Rocky Horror Show (National tour and Singapore); Eva Peron 1st cover in Evita (National tour); Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooge starring Shane Richie (National tour) and Mary Magdalene 1st cover/dance captain in Jesus Christ Superstar (National tour).

Australian credits include: Bridie O’Malley in the Eureka workshop and concept album; guest soloist in Sydney’s Carols in the Domain; Kelly in the Australian soap Home and Away and Sarah in Garage Days (Alex Proyas feature film).
